Blue Envelope Program

The Lisbon Police Department is proud to announce our partnership with the Blue Envelope Program. The new program is called the "Blue Envelope Program." This incredible initiative is designed to assist drivers who are on the autism spectrum, experience anxiety, or have other conditions that could benefit from additional support during a traffic stop.

The "Blue Envelope" is a specially marked envelope where drivers can safely store important documents like their vehicle registration, insurance card, and driver's license. This simple tool can help ease the stress that often comes with roadside encounters by providing clear instructions for the driver and the officer on the stop.

These envelopes also have information for our officers, promoting understanding and de-escalation in potentially stressful situations with this added information provided to the Officer. Our goal is to ensure a positive outcome for everyone involved.
