Assessment Review Board

Overview

The five member Assessment Review Board processes appeals from decisions of the Tax Assessor. They hear and decide all appeals properly taken from the refusal of the assessor to make such property tax abatements as may be applied for.

The Board shall take evidence and may grant, in whole or in part, an abatement, or deny a request for abatement, all by standards for abatements under state law and as delineated in the ordinances of the Town of Lisbon.

All meetings are open to the public, except poverty abatements (confidential).
